Money Smart Week (April 24 - 29) is a public awareness campaign designed to help consumers learn to better manage their personal finances. Tuesday, April 25 at 1:00 p.m. at the LINCOLN branch.
Friday, April 28 at 10:15 a.m. at the HARRISVILLE branch.
Both storytimes will be hosted by Huron Community Bank, with a story, craft, treat, and free book for each child. Thank you, Huron Community Bank!
Meet Doc Fletcher, author of several excellent books on canoeing and kayaking in Michigan, on Tuesday, May 2 at 5:30 p.m. at the Harrisville branch of the Alcona County Library. This program will focus on rivers from his 2016 book "Canoeing and Kayaking College Campuses in Michigan.”
Canoe/kayak brochures from Michigan U.P./Lower Peninsula liveries, Campground Directories, and state maps will be available. Books will be available to purchase, and Doc will be happy to sign them. All attendees are entered in a drawing for a DOOR PRIZE: winner will choose from an assortment of gift certificates from canoe liveries in the State. Refreshments served by the Friends of the Library.

Alcona Book Club meetings run from 12:00 noon until 1 p.m. on the third Tuesday of the month. Enjoy delicious desserts and beverages provided by the Friends of the Library or bring your lunch.
